Hotels for Press
Accommodation levels in Rio de Janeiro are anticipated to be at full occupancy during the conference. While it is not the responsibility of the United Nations to procure accommodation for the media, it should be noted that the Brazilian national organizing committee for Rio+20 has committed to blocking a minimum of 500 hotel rooms in Rio de Janeiro for media covering the conference. - 17 Jun 2012 - Within the framework of the UN Conference on Sustainable Development, Rio +20 (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) Al-Farabi Kazakh National University will organize a side-event "Green Bridge through Generations."
Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is the only universities from the CIS region, to organize its own session devoted to the ideas of the President of Kazakhstan - Global Energy and Ecological Strategy for Sustainable Development and "Green Bridge". The session, which attracted great interest from the world's leading universities, renowned scholars and international experts, will be held at the Rio Center on June 17 (at 19:30 pm, room "T5").

The Dialogues for Sustainable Development will gather 100 panelists in 10 panels focused on key themes on the international agenda for sustainability. The debates will take place at the plenary room of Pavilion 5 of Riocentro and will be open to the Rio+20 accredited media. Access to the plenary room will be subject to availability of seats.
