Accommodation levels in Rio de Janeiro are anticipated to be at full occupancy during the conference. While it is not the responsibility of the United Nations to procure accommodation for the media, it should be noted that the Brazilian national organizing committee for Rio+20 has committed to blocking a minimum of 500 hotel rooms in Rio de Janeiro for media covering the conference. IGOs registration to Rio+20 high-level roundtables
United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development
20?22 June 2012, Rio de Janeiro (Brasil)

The United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development, to be held from Wednesday, 20, to Friday, 22 June 2012, in Rio de Janeiro (Brasil), pursuant to General Assembly resolution 66/197 of 22 December 2011 (A/RES/66/197), will hold four high-level roundtable sessions in parallel with the plenary meetings, as follows: Wednesday, 20 June 2012 from 4.30pm to 7.30pm; Thursday, 21 June 2012 from 10.00am to 1.00pm and from 3.00pm to 6.00pm and Friday, 22 June 2012 from 10.00am to 1.00pm. The roundtables will focus on the common theme: ?Looking at the way forward in implementing the expected outcomes of the Conference?.

Representatives of Intergovernmental Organisations in observer status with the UN Conference can participate in the roundtables and are invited to inscribe and are kindly requested to do so with the secretariat, as soon as possible but not later than 11 May 2012. Kindly note that participants of intergovernmental organizations must be represented by their heads of organization and communicated to Ms. Federica Pietracci by email: pietracci@un.org.

The list of participants in each roundtable session will be made available prior to the meeting.
