Accommodation levels in Rio de Janeiro are anticipated to be at full occupancy during the conference. While it is not the responsibility of the United Nations to procure accommodation for the media, it should be noted that the Brazilian national organizing committee for Rio+20 has committed to blocking a minimum of 500 hotel rooms in Rio de Janeiro for media covering the conference. Indigenous Peoples Side Event on Rio +20 during the UNPFII, 8 May 2012
A side event during the 11th Session of the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (UNPFII) will be held on 8 May 2012, Tuesday. The side event is on "The Road to Rio +20: Indigenous Peoples' Key Messages and Actions."

The side event will be held at Conference Rm 1, North Lawn Building, UN Headquarters in New York City. Speakers will include:
