Newsletter on Climate Change Agriculture and Food Security
The Climate Change Agriculture and Food Security Organization would like to announce that the CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS) has convened a Commission on Sustainable Agriculture and Climate Change.

Over the coming months, thirteen eminent scientists and economists from around the world will work together to synthesize major studies and identify pathways to address food security in the context of climate change. Chaired by Sir John Beddington (UK Chief Science Adviser), the Commission will seek to build international consensus on policy actions to help global agriculture adapt to climate change, achieve food security and reduce poverty and greenhouse gas emissions. Primary policy targets will include the UNFCCC, the G-20 and the Rio+20 Earth Summit. Additional support for the commission is provided by the Global Donor Platform for Rural Development (www.donorplatform.org).
