On Monday, 20 June 2011, the twelfth session of the UN Open-ended Informal Consultative Process on Oceans and the Law of the Sea convened at UN Headquarters in New York.

The meeting, co-organized by UN-DESA along with DOALOS, was opened by Mr. Sha Zukang, Secretary-General of the Rio+20 Conference.
