Food and agriculture is of high relevance for the UNCSD 2012?s themes ?Green Economy and ?Institutional Frameworks?. Rio+20 has the potential to strengthen coherent food security policy and to foster the implementation of sustainable agriculture. Biovision is contributing to the process towards UNCSD 2012 (?Rio+20?), to promote sustainable agriculture as a key issue. It is in this context that the following dialogue is organized by Biovision ? Foundation for Ecological Development, Millennium Institute and the More and Better Network.

?Towards Rio+20: Sustainable Agriculture within a Green Economy?, Friday 21st of October from 12.30 until 14.30 at FAO in Rome, Italy (Ethiopia Room)

There are various ideas and opportunities on how Rio+20 could address food security and sustainable agriculture. The time is right to reflect on recent developments on Rio+20 with regards to sustainable agriculture and food security and to discuss what would be a meaningful outcome at Rio+20 on sustainable agriculture.
