Hotels for Press
Accommodation levels in Rio de Janeiro are anticipated to be at full occupancy during the conference. While it is not the responsibility of the United Nations to procure accommodation for the media, it should be noted that the Brazilian national organizing committee for Rio+20 has committed to blocking a minimum of 500 hotel rooms in Rio de Janeiro for media covering the conference. Business calls on governments to set policies that accelerate progress toward a green economy

The Business Action for Sustainable Development 2012 (BASD) has submitted the formal Business and Industry input to the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development, the convener of the upcoming Rio+20 Conference. The BASD submission outlines priorities for governments to maximize the contribution of business, not only at Rio+20 but beyond.
