Accommodation levels in Rio de Janeiro are anticipated to be at full occupancy during the conference. While it is not the responsibility of the United Nations to procure accommodation for the media, it should be noted that the Brazilian national organizing committee for Rio+20 has committed to blocking a minimum of 500 hotel rooms in Rio de Janeiro for media covering the conference. NOW OPEN: Registration for the 2nd Intersessional Meeting of UNCSD (15-16 December)
We are pleased to announce that major groups registration for the Second Intersessional Meeting of UNCSD (known as Rio+20) is now open.

The Second Intersessional Meeting will be held at UN Headquarters in New York on 15 and 16 December 2011. Pre-registration through the CSO Net online event registration system is required for all delegates from major groups.

We wish to remind you that your parent organization is responsible for making the necessary arrangements for your travel and accommodation, in the usual way. You are likewise responsible for ensuring that you meet the necessary visa requirements for entry into the United States. Delegates requiring a visa are advised to apply as early as possible to ensure adequate time for processing and travel.
