New media tools towards Rio+20 launched by NGO Major Group
The main platform for all NGO discussion on Rio+20 is the interactive NING website: Rio+20 NGO. Interactive means that you can not only go there to be informed. You can also participate, share and start new dynamics! All NGO community members can share news, start discussions, upload video's or post events related to Rio+20. You can also expand your network by seeing the member profiles or starting a chat with any of the, currently around 200, members who happen to be online at the same time as you. As the momentum towards Rio grows, this community will grow and this is where most of the preparations will happen. If you're working for an NGO and you plan to come to Rio, check out the NING.

Additionally, we have also set up a wikispace with the specific purpose of working together on texts. This is used for preparing statements and joint-documents towards the Conference. When the daily meeting in Rio on what we will say starts, this is a document that we can refer to as a preparation. It is not binding, as the statements are made in the daily meeting with those present, but it serves as a good starting point. So if you want your voice heared at the UN summit itself, help us in writing the NGO statement at our wikispace: NGORIOplus20
