UN is Priming Participants for Rio+20
Experts say that the success of the upcoming UN Conference on Sustainable Development or Rio + 20 depends greatly on negotiators' understanding of the full range of issues-- including green economy, the interface of trade, climate change, among many other variables. UNCTAD, UNDESA and ECLAC held a meeting at UN Headquarters on Thursday on the Trade Dimension of Rio+20 to help UN member states and other participants get a better understanding of the realities and intricate relationships at play in order to really achieve sustainable development.
