ICIMOD Preparation for Rio+20
We have found these activities very useful in facilitating debate among mountain stakeholders on environmental issues with wider context, in understanding where do we stand, in learning from gaps and challenges in implementation, to know how can we make a positive difference and promote sustainable mountain development agenda. These ideas were captured while preparing Rio+20 position papers on HKH and South East Asia-Pacific regions, a Green Economy for Sustainable Mountain Development, and Asia Pacific Youth Position Paper on Rio+20. All these documents are submitted to the UNCSD (also known as Rio+20) secretariat as inputs to the Rio+20 Zero Draft. Please read them online at http://www.uncsd2012.org/rio20/index.php?menu=115.
