Achievement of Commitment

We will produce and disseminate a report, Driving Transformation to Energy Efficient Buildings, Policies and Actions: 2nd Edition, designed to help policy makers develop policies to transform building energy efficiency. The report will support policy makers in meeting sustainable development goals, as well as the goals of the Sustainable Energy for All initiative to double the rate of energy efficiency improvement. The report summarizes building efficiency policy options and how each helps overcome market barriers to energy efficiency. The report includes a tool to help policy makers prioritize those policy options for local circumstances through engagement with local stakeholders.

How this will be achieved

We will deliver the report Driving Transformation to Energy Efficient Buildings, Policies and Actions: 2nd Edition, which includes our building efficiency policy assessment tool, at Rio+20. We will continue to present the report and make the material available to policy makers, stakeholders and groups supporting the development of low carbon development plans and nationally appropriate mitigation actions throughout 2012 and 2013.
