The event focuses on good practices of synergies that exist among MEAs. There are good examples of different efforts at achieving synergies: within the atmospheric MEAs synergies are fostered at a scientific and programmatic level; within the chemicals and waste MEAs synergies exist between secretariats, but also advanced programmatic synergies; and among the biodiversity MEAs through the Biodiversity Liaison Group and other means, including via individual secretariats such as CITES and the International Consortium on Combatting Wildlife Crime (ICCWC). InforMEA has also stood out as a unique collaborative effort between 30 MEAs.
