During the 12th Special Session of the Governing Council/Global Ministerial Environmental Forum of the UNEP in Nairobi, Kenya

As part of the Rights for Sustainability (R4S) Initiative, IBON International is inviting all civil society actors and government representatives who will attend the upcoming 13th Global Major Groups and Stakeholders Forum (GMGSF 13) and the twelfth special session of the UNEP Governing Council/ Global Ministerial Environment Forum (GC.SS.XII/GMEF) to its Greenroom activity entitled ?Rights for Sustainability and Sustainable Development Governance?. It is slated for February 22, at 13.45 to 15.00h.

This activity aims to promote a rights-based approach to sustainable development governance as a way of ensuring that inter- and intra-generational equity and justice are central considerations in the reform agenda at Rio+20 and beyond. Confirmed speakers include Chantal Carpentier of UN DESA, Neth Dano of ETC Group, Yahya Msangi of ITUC Africa, Daniel Magraw of CIEL and Paul Quintos of IBON International.
