Global Conference - Rabat Round
16 May 2012 - 17 May 2012
Rabat - Morocco

For this 1st edition, the Planetworkshops will maintain their identity, a friendly place of reflection on sustainable development issues and the necessary transformations of our societies; a platform of diverse actors; a transverse approach and the presentation of concrete and existing solutions.

Having for ambition to become a major event in Africa, the Global Conference - Rabat Round will gather during two days all the actors involved in the change for a sustainable society: opinion leaders, leaders of companies, public authorities, researchers, NGO, intellectuals, artists, experts, journalists and representatives of civil society.

In many respects, Morocco is a leader in sustainable development and the country represents today a real open-air laboratory of this new model of development. Renewable energies, conservation of natural resources, smart cities, sustainable mobility, waste management, sustainable agriculture or responsible tourism, here are some of the local stakes which will be discussed in Rabat on next May.

The green growth and its economic, social and human development potential, central themes of the next Rio+20 Conference, will therefore be at the hearth of the reflection during these two days.

Nationals of more than 30 countries will come to assert their peculiarity and their desire of a sustainable development applied with ambition to their respective territories, to mutualize the good practices and duplicate them all over the world. To make this event a real success, the Planetworkshops will lean on the expertise and the knowledge of Morocco of Mr. Albert Mallet, founder and organizer of the Forum of Paris and the Forum of Paris - Casablanca Round.
