Announcement of voluntary commitment of 8 multilateral development banks to supporting sustainable transport, including substantial financing commitment that will support the development of sustainable transport systems in developing countries, thereby contributing to poverty reduction and inclusive growth benefiting many millions of people and addressing the major adverse aspects of transport including congestion, traffic accidents, and emissions and other negative environmental impacts.
