Hotels for Press
Accommodation levels in Rio de Janeiro are anticipated to be at full occupancy during the conference. While it is not the responsibility of the United Nations to procure accommodation for the media, it should be noted that the Brazilian national organizing committee for Rio+20 has committed to blocking a minimum of 500 hotel rooms in Rio de Janeiro for media covering the conference. Call for Papers GURN/ITUC workshop: A Green Economy that Works for Social Progress
The call for papers includes three different issues:
I. Working Conditions (i.e. wages, freedom of association, Collective Bargaining and Organizing, Occupational Health and Safety) in "Green Jobs"
II. Environmental Rights and Collective Bargaining on Environmental Issues
III. Green Taxation and Fairness
Authors are invited to submit proposals for one issue. Papers can be submitted in one of the following languages: English, French and Spanish.
The deadline for proposals is 30th June 2011. Selected authors will receive an invitation to the workshop in Brussels.
