On March 22, World Water Day, Franciscans International is hosting a parallel event on the right to safe drinking water. The event will feature three distinguished speakers, each with unique background on the subject:

Christopher Kukk, Ph.D. is a professor at the Western Connecticut State University, and is a
consultant with the U.S. State Department on water issues.
Carlos Lozano Acosta is an associate researcher at the Research Group Policy and Legislation on Biodiversity, and Traditional Knowledge and Genetic Resources (PLEBIO) in Bogotá, Colombia.
Farooq Ullah is the Head of Policy and Advocacy at Stakeholder Forum and a Specialist Advisor to the United Kingdom Parliament?s Environmental Audit Committee.
The event will take place against the backdrop of first round of 'informal-informal' negotiations on the Zero Draft outcome document at the United Nations from March 19-23.
The event is open to public. A light lunch will be served!
