Higher Education Sustainability Initiative - Lagos Business School, Pan-African University
Organization(s) making commitment
Lagos Business School, Pan-African University
Achievement of Commitment
1.Reduce the use of paper at LBS by 10% by March 2013. Paper usage increased by 3.5% between 2010 and 2011.
We will approach this goal in four phases.
Phase 1: Gather and analyse information to aid proper tracking of set targets
Phase 2: Foster attitudinal change through communication and sensitisation
Phase 3: Rethink the operations and processes
Phase 4: Re-engineer our systems through process automation
2.Zero use of plastic water bottles at the Lagos Business School by September 2012 and encourage the use of jugs and water dispensers with refillable bottles.
How this will be achieved
THE CSR CENTRE will continue to engage the public and private sectors in the global discuss on sustainability through the annual CSR Conference which was launched in 2011, the CSR Master Class.
We have just selected a team of faculty and staff to drive the Higher Education Sustainability Initiative, the PRME and other sustainability initiatives which the School has committed to.
