The Principality of Monaco will host a workshop focussing on oceans and Rio+20 on November 28 - 29. With a thematic approach around tourism, fisheries and energy the workshop will explore connections between the ocean and the Rio+20 themes. Focussing on the green economy, this workshop will highlight blue economy issues at the global level and contribute to a more holistic understanding of the challenges our planet holds for the Rio 2012 agenda.

The outcome document from the workshop will be based on the outcome of plenary discussions based on expert papers written on then three thematic themes. Oceans and governance will be an overarching issue also dealt with at the workshop.

The expert papers will be uploaded as soon as they are available from the authors.
